We explored first how members of our <strong>diverse 1000-member staff<\/strong> were using &#8211; or not using &#8211; the tool, and investigated ways that would <strong>improve their experience<\/strong> and boost engagement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"495\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jeannepengelly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Screenshot-2024-06-14-at-10.29.41-1024x495.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1163\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>File organization and access were improved, the user interface was updated, and a ticket system for both IT and Communications requests was implemented. We provided training, and set a specific intention that managers encourage the access of the improved E-You. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further, we implemented a <strong>news blog<\/strong> on the E-You site with postings that were specific to <strong>internal communications<\/strong> and easy links to access relevant support files.\u00a0 This blog and an <strong>internal newsletter <\/strong>were strategically used to <strong>enhance engagement<\/strong> with the tool on a regular basis.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>While the intranet itself was in place when I joined the Cree School Board in 2017, it developed significantly over my tenure there.
