Each year, the Cree School Board Human Resources Department collaborates with Communications Office to orchestrate a hiring event, intended to attract new teachers to the north. After several years hosting such an event in a conference format, we were stymied about what to do during COVID. I suggested we do a similar event, but shift it completely online, employing every clever tactic we could to engage potential candidates to join us online.

The event was highly successful and has continued in a hybrid format ever since.
